I am feeling oily when I use the products, is this right?Updated 7 months ago
There may be an adjustment period as far as feeling a bit on the oily side. Even though you may have used a gentle cleanser in the past, it still can strip your face of it's natural oils, and then that causes your sebum glands to overproduce to make up for that. Our products introduce oil, especially jojoba, which is very good for the skin and it's bacteria, but your skin may need to get used to being fed nutrient dense, nourishing oils. Eventually the glands will get the message, ok, we are not going to be stripped anymore, and it all balances out.
To clarify, here is a breakdown of the commonly asked question about the proper way to use our Radiant Cleansing Nectar and Flawless Nourishment Cream:
Radiant Cleansing Nectar Use:
Heavily spray the face with the Clarifying Hydration Dew, so that the skin is pretty saturated, just like you would if you were to get your face wet with the sink water, about 8-9 spays. Next, make sure to shake the cleanser vigorously for about 10 seconds and then turn upside down and let it soak through to the bottom of the cotton. You will see the top side of the cotton pad oily and the other side more watery looking. Apply 2-4 circles. Take the more oily side first and buff the skin vigorously all over the face and neck. Next, repeat the process with the damper side of the cotton pad. This process shouldn't leave you feeling greasy but more of a freshly, cleansed feeling. If you are still feeling oily, make sure to use more of the hydration dew. If you still feel oily even after that, take a warm washcloth and press it to the skin, but be careful not to wipe the skin.
Flawless Nourishment Cream Use:
With the Nourishment Cream, you need so little of this. It is a quarter of a pea-sized amount to scrape out. Spray your face with 2 sprays of the Dew for quicker penetration and absorption.
If you apply it and it doesn't feel like it has been absorbed within a minute or two, take the amount you're using down.
