Will I breakout first and then clear up?Updated 7 months ago

Many do not, but some will breakout first before clearing up. It depends on how long you are breaking out before using the products, lifestyle factors, and how much inflammation is in the skin that dictates if this will happen to you.

Breakouts are forming under the skin long before they ever “break out”? Often up to 2 months before. Once it is formed, it has to come out sooner or later. Purging is when new skincare causes those breakouts sooner. It dislodges congestion lying below the surface of the skin, speeding this process up and working through this problem faster, which is why it looks like you are breaking out more heavily than usual.

If you do experience this or have severe or cystic acne, we recommend a facial with extractions to help speed the process up. Also, please take a look at our Clear Skin Guide that is free with email signup that gives tips and tricks to help the internal factors of breakouts while our skincare routine takes care of the rest.
